MGA had announced that they will not be releasing any Bratz dolls in the US during 2014, they will however be releasing them overseas. This doesn't really come as a surprise to many who have noticed the line has not faired well in the market place over the last two years. MGA wants to take this time to update the Bratz and make them more appealing in today's market place. This is a risky strategy since a year in the toy world is a big deal, but with increased competition and low sales it could work in MGA's favor. They are planning a huge comeback for 2015 and hopefully can get back to the heart of the Bratz appeal. I'm not sure what this means for the Bratzillaz, I didn't see them mentioned in the article. I guess only time will tell if this strategy will pay off for MGA, I wish them the best of luck because I love seeing diversity in the doll section of stores.
What do you think of their strategy?
Would you like to see new Bratz dolls or should they focus on their other lines?
