American Girl announces 4 more retirements

After months of speculating it was made offical this week, American Girl is retiring Cecile and Marie Grace. We have been expecting this for awhile since the sales for these two have never been quite what AG expected. They are also retiring Ivy and Ruthie so this is goodbye to the Best Friends line, again not much of a surprise since most of their collections are already discontinued.

With these retirements and Samantha being released from the archives it looks like the historical line is going to have quite the shake up. 

I'm hoping this revamp of the line will bring with it more diversity and a renewed interest in the time periods represented as well as new eras that can provide valuable lessons.
